we have lots of new things in our life right now.
like a new apartment, new school year (how about just new year?), new ward at church, new brakes on our car?
lots and lots of news.
We are loving our new apartment. Keep in mind it's 220 more square feet. And it doesn't sound like a lot. But it is. It feels huge. It's been really fun to decorate and make it feel like home. Our last apartment was really nice in the beginning, but between the break ins and mice, we just decided it wasn't really for us. Although we really loved a few people in our ward, other then that, we didn't have too many buddies.
But now, we live really close to some of our closest friends! We are loving that. Well at least I know I am, and Kali too. Wade and J Tyler probably don't care too much?
The school year has begun! We are still trying to figure out what works best for getting J Tyler to school, on the days I don't have school. And how he'll get home on the days I have work. Mondays are really long for him. He hangs out on campus and does homework for like 10 hours. But ya gotta do what you gotta do. It's been really nice waking up and having the time together when I take him to school. Just those 20 extra minutes help me not miss him times infinity and beyond. I love the guy alright?
And school for myself is wonderful. I am really enjoying these beginning classes, but really look forward to starting the Nursing program in just 7 short months!
Yesterday was our first Sunday in our new ward. I was a little nervous. (Nothing has compared to my ward back at home in California, you just can't beat the amazing Bishops I had there.) Anywho, I really enjoyed this ward. It's different being in a ward with crying kids. But I didn't mind it after the first 30 minutes, I was able to block it out! Ha. Everyone was really friendly, lots and lots of people came and introduced themselves. They made us feel really welcome. It was a change after our last ward. Since no one introduced themselves. Ha. And our Bishop seems wonderful. I think we're really going to love it here.
What would the new year be without new brakes on the car? Especially ones we didn't have the funds for. I must admit it is wonderful, when we brake we don't hear this nasty grinding, like someone is caught up in our back tires. We might begin to miss that noise. It was beginning to be the thing that put me to sleep at night.
YEAH RIGHT! most horrific sound ever. Thank goodness for my husband. He knows when the brakes are bad? yeah, I know. I thought it was grinding snow too?! women. What do they know?
Well that's all folks.
the new, news in our lives.
We're happy as ever!
A year into our marriage..(in just one month) and we wouldn't want it any other way!
Hi Maddie! I saw your post from Facebook. What school are you going to? Is it nice to be back? We did have an amazing wars growing up. I hope I can raise my kids in a ward like that. Is your friend Kali the one that does your photos? She is so talented! How much does she charge? Happy almost first anniversary!
